Human Resources Generalist

Overview : We are seeking a dedicated HR professional to manage a wide range of HR duties, contributing to the success and growth of our organization. This role involves providing support in recruitment, employee relations, policy development, compliance, and performance management, ensuring a positive and efficient workplace environment

Key Responsibilities :

Recruiting and Staffing :

  • Oversee the recruitment process for both exempt and non-exempt positions.
  • Lead new employee orientations and ensure smooth onboarding.
  • Manage job postings and advertising for open positions.
  • Coordinate all pre-employment assessments, background checks, and other compliance procedures.
  • Prepare and process all required employment documentation.

Employee Maintenance :

  • Ensure personnel records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and company policies.
  • Regularly update employee information to reflect current status.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment regulations.
  • Administer the compensation program and assist in job classification and pay structure maintenance.
  • Track and monitor the performance evaluation process.
  • Employee Relations :

  • Serve as a liaison between employees and management to communicate HR policies, legal standards, and organizational expectations.
  • Address and resolve employee complaints, conflicts, or issues, ensuring a fair and respectful workplace.
  • Respond to legal or ethical concerns, including harassment or discrimination allegations, and assist in resolution.
  • Employment Policies and Procedures :

  • Participate in staff meetings and collaborate on the development of HR strategies and programs.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of organizational charts and employee directories.
  • Evaluate HR department performance, identifying opportunities for improvement in services and processes.
  • Recommend changes to HR policies and practices to enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Terminations and Exit Management :

  • Manage the termination process, including conducting exit interviews and analyzing feedback.
  • Provide recommendations to improve retention and employee satisfaction.
  • Represent the company in handling unemployment claims, when necessary.

  • Qualifications :

  • Education : Minimum of an Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources or related field.
  • Experience : At least 3 years of experience in an HR role, with a strong understanding of HR functions such as recruiting, employee relations, and compliance.
  • Skills :
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Skilled in interpersonal communication, conflict resolution, and negotiation.
  • High attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, prioritize tasks, and delegate when needed.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all situations.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Experience with HRIS and talent management systems, or ability to quickly learn new software.
