Intercoastal Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a professional, customer service oriented Medical Office Staff for positions such as phones, medical records, check-in or check-out. Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
-Assist with appointment requests
- Verify patient insurance coverage and collect necessary information for billing purposes
- Assist with medical administrative support tasks, such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Maintain patient records and ensure they are accurate and up-to-date
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate patient care and facilitate smooth operations of the medical office
- Utilize the practice management system to input and retrieve patient information accurately
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role is preferred
- Familiarity with phone systems and ability to handle multiple calls simultaneously
- Knowledge of medical administrative support tasks, including front desk duties and office procedures
- Proficiency in using any practice management system or computers in general
- Understanding of medical terminology to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare professionals
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate patient records
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to provide exceptional customer service to patients
