The Payroll Associate is responsible for the weekly compiling and processing of in-house payroll for 600 employees.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review weekly timesheets to ensure all employees are paid accurately in accordance with agreements
- Process ACH and employee pay stubs
- Update employee information in payroll accounting software
- Report and reconcile multi-Union benefits
- Report and reconcile multi-state and Federal employee taxes
- Process employee child support and garnishments
- Assist with state and union audits
- Address inquiries from employees, unions, and taxing authorities
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
- High school diploma or equivalent and 2-5 years of advanced payroll. College level courses in payroll, accounting, or business preferred.
- Experience processing payroll in construction industry preferred.
- Familiarity with Viewpoint software a plus.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and in a team-oriented environment.
- Exercises discretion and maintains confidentiality
