Interim Healthcare - West Michigan is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Specialist to join our Hospice division. As a Business Development Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to increase hospice referral volumes and market share within your designated service area.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective strategies to increase hospice referral volumes and market share within your designated service area.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with referral sources, including assisted living facilities, physician practices, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, community resources, and other appropriate community resources.
- Collaborate with the Business Development Manager to establish and monitor the process to track all referral activity, including sources and disposition.
Requirements:
- Prior medical, hospice, or home care sales experience is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related subject or equivalent years of training and work experience.
- Two to three (2-3) years of successful sales experience with comparable customers, preferably healthcare services are preferred.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with all levels within and outside the company.
- Familiarity with hospice, home healthcare services, referral sources, and payers.
