Job Description:
Hospice Registered Nurses work with patients who have a prognosis of six months or less to live, providing end-of-life care in the comfort of their own homes. This role requires compassion, empathy, and strong communication skills.
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Hospice Registered Nurse. The ideal candidate will have experience in community health or medical-surgical settings and be able to provide holistic care that addresses the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient assessments, monitor vitals, and manage pain using prescribed medications and treatments
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and execute individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and hospice goals
- Ensure the availability of necessary medical equipment, oxygen, and medications
Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted RN license in the State of Michigan
- Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience (hospice or home health experience preferred)
- Experience in community health or Medical-Surgical settings (a plus)
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and current car insurance
