As an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) at Interim HealthCare, you will play a crucial role in assisting and supporting Occupational Therapists in providing quality care to patients. In this position, you will work directly with patients, helping them to improve their daily functioning and independence through the use of therapeutic activities and exercises.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients under the supervision of an occupational therapist.
- Administer therapeutic exercises and activities to improve patients' strength, coordination, and endurance.
- Assist patients in performing activities of daily living (ADLs) and teach them adaptive techniques to maximize their independence.
- Monitor patients' progress and document observations, treatment plans, and outcomes accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with the occupational therapist and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
Requirements:
- Valid certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA).
- Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles, techniques, and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize and organize tasks effectively.
