As a Certified Medicine Aide here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:
- Verify the identification of a resident to assure appropriate care is being provided to
correct patient. - Document changes in the resident's condition as soon as possible.
- Report resident's intake on meal percentage sheet.
- Ensure all assigned task are handled in accordance with Community policies and
procedures as instructed by supervisor. - Interpret, adapt, and apply physician protocol, guidelines, and recommendations.
- Ability to manage difficult or emotional resident, family members, and team member
issues - Update and maintain accurate patient records, including test results and medication lists.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Literate in Word and Excel, as well as in basic (Window) environment and
downloading reports
A few must-haves for our Certified Medication Aide:
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Must have at least 2 years experience working in assisted living Community, nursing
homes, memory care Community, hospital, home health agency, or other healthcare facility. . - Certification of Medication Technician.
- CPR and First Aid certification (Will not accept any online certifications)
- Valid Driver’s License or State ID
- Current TB results
- Compassionate nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must have experience with electronic medical records system. Athena charting system preferred
