School Based Personal Care Aides PCAs are essential members of our interdisciplinary team, providing personalized support to students with complex needs.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, patience, and understanding, with the ability to work effectively with children who require additional support.
The School Based Personal Care Aide PCA performs various tasks, including assisting with daily living activities, monitoring client safety, and reporting any concerns or observations to the Interim supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to students with special needs
- Assist with meal preparation, bathing, dressing, and grooming, as needed
- Monitor client behavior and intervene as necessary to ensure safety and well-being
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
Requirements and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Minimum 6 months experience working with children with special needs
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel
