Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team at Interim HealthCare of NEPA. As a DSP, you will provide personalized care and support to individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities in group homes and other settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Care for the personal needs and hygiene of patients, including bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, and eating
- Assist with daily activities such as ambulation, transfers, and range of motion exercises
- Monitor vital signs, intake/output, and blood glucose levels, documenting any changes
- Observe patients and notify supervisors of issues requiring a change in care or medication
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver's license and driver’s record check required
- CPR and first aid certification required
- Six months to one year of experience working with intellectually and physically disabled individuals preferred
- Knowledge of Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) preferred
