We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a School Van Driver - Transportation Specialist. This part-time role involves transporting students to and from school and extra-curricular activities while providing a safe and supportive environment.
About the Job

- Location: Lackawanna County
- Hourly Pay: Up to $17 per hour
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 1pm to 4pm (average 10-30 hours per week)
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and has experience driving a van or similar vehicle. As a School Van Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth transportation of students, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations, and maintaining a clean and organized van.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a van, following all traffic laws and regulations.
- Transport children safely, adhering to relevant safety and security protocols.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized van, including regular cleaning and sanitizing.
- Provide assistance to children as needed, including helping them with their belongings and ensuring they arrive safely.
- Create a positive and supportive environment for all children, promoting their well-being and happiness.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and other support staff to ensure the needs of all children are met.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience driving a van or similar vehicle.
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in a childcare or educational setting.
- Strong communication skills with children and adults.
