Chaplain Job Description
We are seeking a Chaplain to join our Hospice team in the Topeka and Manhattan area. This is a full-time position that requires a compassionate and empathetic individual who can provide spiritual support to patients and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments of hospice patients' spiritual needs.
- Provide direct spiritual services to patients and families according to their belief system and practice.
- Participate in the development of the interdisciplinary group (IDG) plan of care to meet identified spiritual needs.
- Document services provided and maintain records of spiritual services utilization and related activities.
- Actively participate in patient/family care conferences and IDG meetings.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited seminary or school of theology (BD, MDiv or equivalent theological degree).
- Experience working with death and dying, terminal individuals, and their families or caregivers.

Working Conditions:
