Key Responsibilities:
- Care for patients' personal hygiene and comfort needs in various healthcare settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers, and hospitals
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, RNs, LPNs, and aides to deliver exceptional patient care
- Assist with daily tasks such as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, eating, and nutritional intake
- Help with mobility, transfers, and range of motion exercises
- Monitor vital signs, track intake/output, check blood glucose levels, and document any changes
- Observe patients and notify supervisors of issues requiring adjustments to care, medication, or equipment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Active Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Michigan
- Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations
- Compassionate nature, effective communication skills, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
