About the Role
We are currently seeking highly skilled and dedicated Medical Assistants to join our team. As a Medical Assistant at Interim HealthCare Staffing, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of clinical settings, providing top-notch patient care and support to healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Room patients in a clinic setting, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for all individuals
- Take vital signs and perform other pertinent physical measurements as required
- Review charts and gather pertinent information to ensure accurate and timely communication within the clinic/location
- Prepare exam rooms for patient set up and procedures, maintaining a clean and organized environment
- Administer vaccinations and manage in-basket tasks, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines when necessary
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; graduate of an accredited MA program preferred
- 6 months of recent relevant work experience in direct patient care in a clinical setting, with Family Practice/Pediatrics experience being a plus
- Phlebotomy/Lab experience is a strong asset, but not mandatory; BLS certification is required and must be maintained
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including proper use of English grammar and spelling
- Ability to function with multiple priorities and interruptions, working effectively in a fast-paced environment
