Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments, manage medications, and monitor overall health status of residents.
- Supervise CNA's/PCA's on shifts.
- Provide health education to residents and families on topics like disease management, preventative care, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and support staff.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide immediate care as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Collaborate closely with Director of Nursing and other team members to maintain a cohesive care environment.
Requirements
- RN degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- Valid RN license in the state of Minnesota.
- Previous experience in geriatric nursing.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- A compassionate approach to working with senior residents.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team.
- Flexibility to cover on-call needs over the phone.
