As a Scheduler, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:
- Collaborate with Clinical Managers to uphold quality and operational standards, ensuring patients receive the best possible care.
- Coordinate staff scheduling with care and attention, striving to create efficient and reliable schedules that meet both client needs and employee well-being.
- Support the intake process by documenting job orders, receiving referrals, and assisting with staffing to ensure timely and compassionate care for clients.
- Maintain accurate employee files, verify credentials and certifications, conduct background checks, and assist with recruiting efforts to build a dedicated care team.
- Verify client insurance and provide support with essential office functions, including marketing, payroll, and collections, to help the team operate smoothly and focus on patient care.
A few must-haves for Schedulers:
- At least 1 year of experience in home health scheduling, with a focus on coordinating in-home visits to ensure patients receive timely and compassionate care.
- Comfort in handling high-volume calls, offering support and understanding to patients and their families during times of need.
- Familiarity with state and federal home care standards and regulations to help maintain safe, compliant, and high-quality care.
- Excellent communication skills, fostering clear and respectful collaboration with both clinical and non-clinical staff.
- Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and proficiency with computer software to support seamless operations and patient scheduling.
