Summary

Reporting directly to the President, West region, SoCal Divisional President will be responsible for leading the $150 million Southern California division. It is expected that the Divisional President will be a proven business builder who brings a balance of inspirational leadership, operational discipline and commercial excellence to the role. This executive will work in full partnership with the CEO, other regional and divisional presidents and executive leadership team to drive performance and growth by building and strengthening the team, executing go to market strategies, completing and integrating high-performing acquisitions and executing other company-wide initiatives that help gain market share and fulfill ILG’s strategic vision.

The President, SoCal Division will drive deep collaboration across all field leadership teams and functional leaders to develop a world class organization capable of consistently sustaining profitable growth through all business and economic cycles. This executive will be expected to communicate and execute ILG’s vision, strategy and expectations across the division to drive performance and growth for all stakeholders. The President, SoCal division will actively share ideas, talent and resources across the company and participate in select company-wide initiatives to help ILG move forward as a company of excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute aggressive divisional commercial strategies that will result in improved performance with new and existing customers.
  • Collaborate closely with key leaders to identify, develop and grow new business relationships. Drive awareness and adoption of "best practices" throughout the organization.
  • Establish and drive the analytics and metrics necessary to ensure better consistency of execution.
  • Continuously review industry trends and develop and execute creative new approaches to grow the business.
  • Lead, empower and develop a high-performance team with bench strength at each level.
  • Provide leadership and professional development for management and staff.
  • Be a highly accessible and visible leader to the existing organization, developing a high-performance culture and focus on commercial excellence.
  • Coach and nurture employees to develop teams and recruit outstanding talent to the company.
  • Build a team environment where superior customer service and quality performance are the norm.
  • Develop and drive a culture of accountability across the division, largely leveraging influencing skills to achieve this goal.

  • Ideal Experience

  • Proven standalone or divisional P&L leadership experience.
  • At least 10 years of progressive general management experience in a large and complex distributed sales environment. Industry experience in the construction services or building products space is required.
  • Ability to drive profitable growth, experience developing and executing growth strategies, both organically and acquisitively. This includes leading large sales teams, effectively integrating acquisitions, implementing global enterprise systems and processes and generating points of leverage through centers of excellence. History of market-leading growth and sustainable profitability in competitive and dynamic markets.
  • Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement : a deep appreciation and understanding of lean operating principles and their application throughout all functions of the organization.
  • High-performance team builder and leadership developer : proven ability to attract, develop, motivate, retain and lead a high-performing team of professionals.
  • Maintains a track record of developing and implementing performance metrics that are correlated with success, while holding the team accountable for results.
  • Education : A bachelor’s degree in business administration, management or related field. An M.B.A. or master’s degree is preferred.

  • The base salary range for this position is $200,000 to $250,000 per year. This role is also eligible for competitive incentive pay. Additional benefits include health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.

    The leader will be required to reside in Southern California near San Diego office to closely oversee the operations of the division and have frequent in-person meetings with key team members and customers. Expected travel is 25%-35%.
