Essential Functions
- Supervising and managing the receiving team, including scheduling, training and performance management.
- Establishing and enforcing policies and procedures to ensure efficient and accurate receipt of inbound shipments.
- Collaborating with other departments such as purchasing, inventory control and shipping to manage the flow of goods into and out of the warehouse.
- Conducting regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Maintaining accurate records of all incoming shipments, checking for accuracy and reporting any discrepancies.
- Managing the scheduling of inbound shipments, working with carriers and logistics providers to ensure on-time and efficient delivery.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety requirements for all inbound shipments.
- Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
- High School or equivalent
- 2-4 years applicable job experience
- Interpersonal skills to develop and maintain professional working relationships with builders, vendors, subordinates and co-workers
- Communicate effectively with customers, co-workers and supervisors in a professional and courteous manner
- Proactively identify, analyze, address, and resolve problem areas, conflicts, and issues
- Displays willingness to make decisions
- Exhibits sound and accurate judgment, supports and explains reasoning for decisions, includes appropriate people in decision-making process, and makes timely decisions
- Strong organizational skills to ensure adequate tracking systems are utilized to maintain and track all required information associated with the ordering and production process
- Working knowledge of internet, inventory, project management, spreadsheet and word process software and order processing systems
