Position Summary
Leads a team of sales management and executives in building relationships with customer groups by determining their needs and exceeding their expectations in order to grow new and existing account portfolios. Develops strategies to maximize team performance, build and sustain customer relationships and increase market share. Responsible for the day-to-day management of people and processes necessary to support the regional sales organization
Position Duties & Responsibilities
- Understand the market, the customer and the competition. Provide strong leadership, working by example to drive individual team members and the team as a whole to exceed key expectations through strategic planning and the development and management of the sales team.
- Provide strategic direction and set priorities for regional sales teams to develop profitable business plans for managing both existing and newly acquired accounts and to effectively implement and execute those plans.
- Develop strategies to maximize team performance to drive sales and increase market share to consistently attain and exceed reasonable but aggressive sales results within the region.
- Ensure each account executive is equipped and driven to fulfill clients' present and future needs through consultative solution selling. Direct sales team's focus to identify and uncover opportunities
- Assist team in resolving problems associated with customer service, product availability, price, product and service delivery.
- Motivate sales team to give their best efforts by goal setting, coaching and communicating performance expectations, offering recognition and holding people accountable for results. Accurately assess the strengths and weaknesses of associates and give timely and constructive feedback.
- Maintain company values and demand the highest standards of conduct and integrity from self and others.
- Participate in local and national trade associations and conferences and internal cross-functional activities focused on solving business issues and enhancing our competitive advantage.
