POSITION OVERVIEW:
Seeking a highly organized and proactive Design Project Manager to join our dynamic interior design team. The Design Project Manager will play a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of projects from start to finish. This position will be responsible for overseeing all project installations, deliveries, managing vendors, client communication, handling materials, and assisting with gathering project documentation. This is an entry level, part-time role with significant room for growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Project Installation Management: coordinate and oversee all aspects of project installations, ensuring that each step aligns with the design plan, timeline, as well as company and client expectations.
- Material Management and Logistics: coordinate delivery and vendor schedule to align with project deadlines and efficiency. Accept, inspect, and sign off on deliveries of materials and furnishings, confirming quality and accuracy of items received. Process returns, exchanges, and claims for damaged or incorrect items with vendors, ensuring replacements arrive on time as needed.
- Vendor and Client Communication: maintain clear and consistent communication with vendors and clients regarding project installation logistics.
- Project Administration: gather project documents, such as construction documents, for installations, and client closing binders. Light administrative tasks and running errands as needed.
SKILL SET:
- Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects with high attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients, vendors, and team members.
- Ability to prioritize scheduled tasks to meet project timelines.
- Proactive approach to addressing issues that may arise during installation challenges.
- Ensures all project elements meet design standards - must be VERY detail oriented.
- Ability to represent Interiors by Casa Mia positively and maintain professionalism with team, vendors, and clients.
- Comfortable with lifting or handling deliveries of over 50lbs when necessary.
- Committed to providing excellent customer service with an attitude of always exceeding client expectations.
- Familiarity with, or interest to learn, Interior Design principles and materials to make informed decisions during installations.
- Computer proficiency in basic office software.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in customer service.
- Experience in project management in design or related field.
- Valid driver’s license and appropriate vehicle.
- Associates Degree or greater.
- Knowledge of the Interior Design industry is a plus!
