Position Summary:
Reporting to the Senior Research Manager, the Research & Evaluation Manager has primary responsibility for programmatic and impact evaluation related endeavors. They will work to ensure that the organization’s evaluation system meets current stakeholder needs and is scalable to support Interise’s multifaceted organizational growth. They will also support Interise’s research agenda using Interise’s evaluation data, external secondary data, and qualitative data.
Position Responsibilities:
- Oversee program evaluation for all Interise programs including the StreetWise ‘MBA’™ and other small business initiatives to ensure quality assurance and to enable continuous learning and improvement in program delivery.
- Support an evaluation process that includes maintaining survey instruments, data collection, cleaning, storage, analysis, and visualization.
- Execute program evaluation processes according to program delivery calendar and provide support for cohorts across the national network.
- Support the annual assessment survey process: prepare and send communications to eligible respondents and engage network partners for local follow up.
- Work collaboratively with the Research and Evaluation team to prepare assessment data for analysis, perform impact metric calculations, present findings, and finalize content for internal and external audiences.
- Manage the storage of evaluation data and assist staff and management with specific data requests, analyses, and reports.
- Manage real-time data collection opportunities through questionnaire development, implementation, and data analysis.
- Support cross-functional process and information systems improvements.
- Conduct applied research advancing Interise’s research agenda. Research products include but are not limited to reports, issue papers, literature reviews, and blogs.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in social science, public policy, or business administration required.
- Three to five years of experience collecting, analyzing, and managing primary data. Experience with program evaluation is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel; and proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace.
- Proficiency with R and Salesforce is preferred.
- Experience collaborating across teams and providing a high level of stakeholder support.
- Writes effectively for a wide range of technical and general audiences.
- Works independently and with a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent judgement with handling confidential data and sensitive information.
