The Athletic Trainer at Rocky Mountain Orthopedics will provide on-site athletic training services at a secondary school and outpatient orthopedic practice. They will collaborate with a Sports Medicine Physician to evaluate and treat musculoskeletal injuries, while also engaging in community outreach and educational programs. This role requires a current athletic training license, excellent communication, and the ability to work variable hours in a fast-paced environment.
Job Description:
This job role will entail the Athletic Trainer splitting time between providing outreach athletic training services at the secondary school setting/outpatient orthopedic practice. Under the direction of a Sports Medicine Physician, the Athletic Trainer will assist in evaluation and treatment of all musculoskeletal injuries and sports-related injuries. While at the secondary school the Athletic Trainer's assignment will be to support the medical needs of the school while promoting Intermountain Sports Medicine Programs. The position will provide athletic training coverage, both 'on-the-field' and in the training room for injured athletes during practices and events. Such duties may also extend to assist other local high schools and college settings, community sporting events, and regional sporting camps/activities.
