Job Description:
The Community Health Organizational Consultant, Implementation Strategies is a dynamic and community-focused role responsible for understanding community needs and consulting with leaders to develop and adapt programs that address significant and sustaining health needs within our service areas. This role supports State Directors, Program Managers, and Enterprise Shared Services teams in assessing community health needs and scaling evidence-based or promising Community Health Implementation Strategies across the enterprise. The consultant ensures that these programs align with organizational goals and meet community needs. This position is essential in maximizing the effectiveness of community health improvement strategies and improving our impact across diverse populations and the enterprise.
Position Details:
This is a full-time, day shift role with some evenings, weekends, and travel required. This is a remote role with some required in-person activities. The successful candidate can live in any of our primary service areas which include Montana, Idaho, Utah, Colorado, and Nevada.
Essential Functions
- Collaborate on the completion of Community Health Needs Assessments, including developing and analyzing epidemiological and/or population health data to understand community health needs
- Consult on the creation of Community Health Implementation Strategies that meet identified needs by leveraging Intermountain Health assets and align to organizational strategy
- Collaborate to monitor and improve the Shared Services infrastructure needed to support enterprise-wide Implementation Strategies
- Collaborate to assess the impact of novel programs or activities and develop plans for enterprise-wide scaling
- Consul with leaders on how to implement enterprise-wide strategies to improve health for children and adults

Minimum Qualifications
- Proven ability to work with data to identify and understand health needs and their root causes and propose systemic changes.
- Strong proficiency with data analysis
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with experience in earning stakeholder trust and working within multi-disciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate diverse groups to achieve shared objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to implement programs and projects.
- Strong proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and other relevant software tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in public health, health administration, business administration, or a related field. If not in a health-related field, at least seven years of relevant experience.
- Extensive experience in healthcare, philanthropy, or community health, with a focus on data analysis and strategy implementation or project management.
- Excellent writing, speaking, and analytical skills, with experience in developing and utilizing data.
- Ability to balance strategic and practical thinking, with experience in both long-term and strategic planning.
Physical Requirements

- Ability to see and read computer monitors and documents.
- Ability to remain seated or standing for extended periods while working on a computer, telephone, or other office equipment.
