Key Responsibilities
Some of your key responsibilities as a Registered Radiology Technologist include:
- Ensuring proper patient identification, order verification, and preparing patients for exams.
- Providing sensitive care to patients throughout procedures and explaining exams to facilitate cooperation and alleviate anxiety.
- Performing radiologic exams that produce quality images and ensuring patient and staff safety by following protocols, correct positioning, and adhering to radiation protection guidelines.
- Utilizing sterile techniques when performing invasive procedures.
- Recognizing emergent situations and responding quickly and appropriately.
- Completing all required documentation accurately and efficiently.
Required Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
- ARRT registration.
- Current Rad Tech license in the state of practice (if working in Utah).
- BLS certification for healthcare providers.
- May be required to complete the Medical Assistant (MA) Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire and perform MA functions (as required by Medical Group).
