About the Role
This Radiology Technologist position offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality x-ray images and providing compassionate patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Produce accurate and undistorted x-ray images of specified body areas as directed by physicians or radiologists.
- Position and instruct patients regarding x-ray procedures with compassion and professionalism.
- Perform x-ray procedures using portable machines as requested by the Emergency Department and nursing units.
- Process films for radiologists reading/interpretation following established procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, healthcare team members, and physicians both in-person and via telephone.
- Maintain x-ray and other equipment in efficient operating order, ensuring preventative maintenance is performed regularly.
Qualifications:
- A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- A successful completion of an approved radiological training program and the ability to meet the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
- A current license/certification in the state of practice (if applicable) is required.
- A Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association is required.
- At least one year of experience in a setting serving the same age/type of patient population served by this facility or department is preferred.
