The Injury Prevention and Treatment Specialist is a vital member of our team, responsible for promoting health literacy, nutrition, and mental well-being among students and athletes. This role requires a unique blend of athletic training expertise, community outreach skills, and business acumen.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement injury prevention programs for students and athletes, emphasizing healthy habits and safe practices.
- Provide education and training on injury prevention, advocacy for overall health literacy, nutrition, and mental health wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate records of athlete evaluations, referrals, and treatments administered.
- Collaborate with local medical providers to facilitate referrals and ensure quality care.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote Intermountain Health's sports medicine services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Current State Licensure for Athletic Training.
- Credentialed as an Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification (BOC).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
