Job Description: This position involves the assessment, treatment, and management of injuries, diseases, and disabilities using standard physical therapy procedures and modalities. The Physical Therapist consults with patients and their caregivers to develop personalized plans for improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluation and Treatment: Perform initial and ongoing assessments to identify patient needs, and develop treatment plans to improve flexibility, strength, or endurance.
- Documentation and Communication: Document patient progress, provide information on adaptive equipment and support programs, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Environmental Maintenance: Maintain a clean and welcoming work environment in accordance with health department codes and facility standards.
- Research and Development: Participate in research initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Current/valid state Physical Therapist licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
- One year of related experience (preferably in a clinic setting).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
- Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) certification.
