What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiology Equipment Operator position at Intermountain Health?
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes
- Use ingenuity and initiative to perform high-quality scans
- Administer oral barium products or intravenous contrast material to patients, as ordered by physicians and under radiologist or physician supervision
- Follow appropriate protocol for medical necessity, coding, and charging, obtaining consents if necessary, documenting any events that may occur, and maintaining a current QC program for ACR
Requirements:
* 2 years of experience in radiology or a related field
* Strong understanding of infection control and sterile techniques
* Ability to operate CT equipment and related information systems effectively
* Radiography Certification/Registration (ARRT)
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (healthcare)
* CT Certification/Registration (ARRT)
