Radiology Technologist

Job Summary: As a Registered Radiology Technologist, you will perform medical imaging examinations under the direction of a physician. You will be responsible for ensuring proper patient identification, order verification, and preparing patients for exams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensures proper patient identification and prepares patients for exams
• Is sensitive to patients' needs throughout procedures and explains exams to patients and family members
• Performs radiologic exams that produce quality images and ensures patient and staff safety
• Utilizes sterile technique when performing invasive procedures
• Recognizes emergent patient situations and responds quickly and appropriately
• Completes all required documentation, including time stamps and image storage
• Coresponds with other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care
• Maintains a clean, safe environment and organizes supplies and equipment
• Develops skills in new procedures and equipment and assists students and other technologists as needed

Shift Details:

• Full-time (36 hours per week)
• Works at two locations: North Cache Valley InstaCare and Logan InstaCare
• Three 12-hour shifts per week
• Shift: 7:45 am - 7:30 pm
• Weekends and holidays are required

Requirements:

• ARRT registration
• Current Rad Tech license in state of practice (if working in Utah)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare providers
• May be required to complete Medical Assistant (MA) Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualification:

• IV certification
