Job Overview: As a Registered Respiratory Therapist at Intermountain Health, you will play a vital role in providing advanced-level respiratory care to patients. Your expertise will be essential in diagnosing, evaluating, and treating cardiopulmonary system deficiencies or abnormalities within the prescription of the ordering physician.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic testing procedures according to protocol, interpreting and evaluating results to initiate interventions based on assessments.
- Administer medications in a timely and safe manner, ensuring patient progress is communicated to staff, physicians, and other departments.
- Maintain awareness of assigned patients' overall condition, making recommendations for patient care and recognizing educational needs of patients and families.
- Document patient care accurately and complete productivity information, monitoring supplies and equipment to notify appropriate personnel when necessary.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a NBRC-approved Respiratory Therapist program required, with education obtained from an accredited institution and degree verified.
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (RRT) and current license as Registered Respiratory Therapy in the state of practice required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers and specific certifications as required.
