Job Description:
We are currently hiring for multiple opportunities for Tax Examining Clerks/Technicians in the IRS Taxpayer Services Division.

This position has career progression. If you are selected at a grade level lower than the full working level, you may be non-competitively promoted as your career progresses.
Duties:
- Researching a variety of sources, analyzing, and initiating actions on tax issues, including obtaining applicable returns, schedules, and all required information for correction of accounts and records;
- Securing payment of delinquent taxes and filing of delinquent returns.
- May serve as a technical advisor, OJT coach, classroom instructor, or reviewer, and provide technical assistance on systemic problems and inconsistencies in IRMs.
This position is considered seasonal, typically 4-6 months or 6-8 months, and may be extended.

Federal experience is not required to qualify for any of the grade levels identified below.

This position's starting salary varies depending upon location.
