The IRS is seeking dependable candidates for this position, located in Dripping Springs, TX. Telework eligible positions require employees to remain within a 200-mile radius of their official assigned post-of-duty (POD) and report to their POD at least twice a week.
About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Researching various sources, analyzing, and initiating actions on tax issues, including obtaining applicable returns, schedules, and required information for correction of accounts and records.
- Securing payment of delinquent taxes and filing of delinquent returns. Determining financial, levy source, adjustment, and uncollectible information; advising taxpayers of appeal procedures.
- May serve as a technical advisor, OJT coach, classroom instructor, or reviewer, providing technical assistance on systemic problems and inconsistencies in IRMs.
Career Progression
This position has career progression. If selected at a grade level lower than the full working level, you may be non-competitively promoted as your career progresses. For example, you may be hired as a GS-04 but move to a GS-06 in as little as two years.
Qualifications
Federal experience is not required to qualify for any of the grade levels identified below. You will qualify based on specialized experience and/or education.

A $2,000 recruitment incentive has been authorized for eligible and highly qualified applicants.
