- This position is open to the public and will be filled under Direct Hire Authority, a fast-track to federal employment.
- The position is considered seasonal, typically 4-6 months or 6-8 months, and may be extended.

Duties:
- Researching a variety of sources, analyzing, and initiating actions on tax issues, including obtaining applicable returns, schedules, and all required information for correction of accounts and records; verifying, analyzing, and adjusting taxpayer accounts.
- Securing payment of delinquent taxes and filing of delinquent returns. Determining financial, levy source, adjustment, and uncollectible information; advising taxpayers of appeal procedures.
- May serve as a technical advisor, OJT coach, classroom instructor, or reviewer, and provide technical assistance on systemic problems and inconsistencies in IRMs.
Requirements:
- Federal experience is not required to qualify for any of the grade levels identified below.
