What are the responsibilities and job description for the Non-Profit Director position at International Art Project?
Location:
Bloomington, IN (In-Person Only)
Overview:
The International Art Project (IAP) is in an exciting developmental phase, rapidly evolving from a powerful idea into a nationally recognized movement that merges fine art with humanitarian impact. We’re seeking a passionate, relationship-driven individual to help us lay the groundwork—building business partnerships, increasing donor support, and expanding community engagement.
This role isn’t just about managing what already exists—it’s about helping create the ecosystem that will fuel IAP’s future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Forge New Relationships:
Actively build connections with businesses, foundations, and community stakeholders that align with IAP’s mission.
- Fundraising & Development Support:
Assist with designing and executing fundraising strategies—through events, outreach, and private donor cultivation.
- Be the Face in the Community:
Represent IAP at events, gallery exhibitions, local business meetings, and regional opportunities.
- Create Strategic Partnerships:
Identify aligned businesses, influencers, and institutions that can offer support—financial, promotional, or in-kind—and take the lead on opening those doors.
- Support Campaigns & Events:
Help bring fundraising campaigns and events to life by securing sponsors, engaging local networks, and ensuring alignment with our brand and mission.
- Collaborate Internally:
Work alongside the Director of Operations & Strategy and Executive Director to make sure community efforts support the bigger vision.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong communicator and natural relationship builder
- Comfortable in professional and community-facing settings
- Aligned with the mission and momentum of IAP
- Passion for creativity, purpose-driven work, and human connection
- Bonus: Experience in fundraising, partnerships, or community organizing
- Bonus: Ties to Bloomington, IN or surrounding regions
The Phase We’re In:
This is not a plug-and-play position. You’ll be helping build the system—which means flexibility, creativity, and vision are essential. We're assembling a small, powerful team to set the foundation for something massive. If you want to be part of building that from day one, this is the role.
