Position Overview :
The EHS Specialist is our go-to expert for maintaining safe work environments and environmentally sound practices. You'll ensure we meet compliance standards, drive continuous improvement in EHS processes, and foster a culture of safety throughout our plant.
The Day-to-Day :
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop, implement, and monitor EHS programs in alignment with OSHA and EPA regulations.
- Lead safety training sessions for employees and contractors to reinforce safe practices.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain and update environmental permits , records, and documentation.
- Oversee waste management and recycling programs to ensure compliance with environmental policies.
- Perform routine safety audits and workplace inspections to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Manage PPE compliance and monitor safety equipment inventory.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure EHS protocols are integrated into daily operations.
- Support emergency response planning and organize drills.
