Position: Photo Lab Assistant

Department: Photo Lab

Supervisor: Larson Harley - School Facilities and Photo Lab Manager (lharley@icp.org )

Position Duration: Per term. September 3rd – December 20th; January 21st – May 19th? 

Requested availability:

 Mon-Fri five-hour shifts either 9AM-2PM or 5PM-10PM. Saturday and Sunday 9AM-6PM (or partial shift) 



The Photo Lab is the place where students, instructors, and staff go to create their work. As a Photo Lab work-study student, your role would be to assist in the needs of anyone who has access to our space. This entails handing out equipment including darkroom kits, scan holders, or any other tools for use in our labs. You will work closely with the Photo Lab staff to learn all our hardware and software to help facilitate problem-solving for anyone using our computers, printers, software, enlargers, and darkroom chemistry. You will learn a lot about maintaining darkroom and digital media lab equipment and be face-to-face in a customer service role for the duration of your shift.

IMPORTANT: Only currently enrolled One Year Certificate (OYC) students can apply to these positions.
