COMPANY DESCRIPTION:
For 29 years, the International Festival of Arts & Ideas (“Arts & Ideas”) has inspired and delighted audiences with an annual program of over 200 performing arts and humanities events year-round, at least 85% of which are free.
Focused events in June range from world and nationally-renowned speakers sharing the stage with critical local voices for discussions on democracy, to jazz concerts, theatrical performances, dance; takeout mixology classes; bike and walking tours; and live, individual performances by local on-call artists on front lawns and sidewalks throughout the area.
Year-round programs include special town-hall events, a fellowship program for youth, planning and implementing mini-festivals in New Haven’s culturally-rich neighborhoods, participation in the NEA Big Read, and our annual Visionary Leadership Event.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Artist Services Coordinators (ASC) are the principal liaison between artists and the Festival. ASCs are each assigned several companies and will fulfill artist needs as well as communicate and coordinate artist needs with appropriate Festival departments including Production, Audience Services, Public Relations, Transportation, and Hospitality. Each ASC will be responsible for several artists or artistic programs whose performances happen across the Festival.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Calm and efficient problem solving and multi-tasking abilities as well as excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Adept with technology and open to adopting new software if needed.
- Additionally, ASCs are people-persons, able to effectively communicate not only with artists from all over the world, but also with technicians, and managers on both the artists’ and Festival staff.

Part-Time Seasonal
Non-Exempt
Pay Rate: $18-$20/hour
Dates: Late May - June 2025
