Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Process customer orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company guidelines.
- Provide timely and professional responses to customer inquiries regarding orders, shipping, and product information.
- Maintain a high level of communication with customers regarding any changes in order delivery or availability.
- Resolve customer issues proactively, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
- Maintain detailed and accurate customer records in company systems.
Logistics Coordination:
- Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to arrange and track shipments.
- Monitor delivery schedules, addressing delays or issues promptly.
- Ensure orders align with inventory availability and company lead times.
- Communicate logistics updates effectively to internal teams and customers.
- Manage returns and redeliveries, coordinating with the warehouse to ensure efficient processing.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, orders, and freight costs for end-of-year freight analysis.
Administrative Support:
- Prepare and update shipping documentation, including bills of lading and packing lists.
- Assist in inventory tracking to ensure product availability for orders.
- Analyze and report on logistics performance metrics.
Qualifications/Competencies/Position Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 2 years of experience in logistics, customer service, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ERP systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in the food service or manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with 3PL operations and shipping processes.
Education and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or a related field is preferred (or equivalent experience).
Working Hours:
- Business Hours but some travel, nights and weekends may be possible.
