Position Overview:

The Logistics and Customer Service Representative plays a critical role in ensuring smooth and efficient order fulfillment. This position combines excellent customer service skills with logistics coordination expertise, supporting our mission to deliver high-quality products to customers on time and in exceptional condition.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and dedicated to supporting our mission of consistently providing high-quality products while enhancing the customer experience at every stage. The Logistics and Customer Service Representative is crucial to fostering positive customer relationships, resolving issues promptly, and helping optimize our logistics operations to ensure seamless service delivery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

  • Process customer orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company guidelines.
  • Provide timely and professional responses to customer inquiries regarding orders, shipping, and product information.
  • Maintain a high level of communication with customers regarding any changes in order delivery or availability.
  • Resolve customer issues proactively, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate customer records in company systems.

Logistics Coordination:

  • Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to arrange and track shipments.
  • Monitor delivery schedules, addressing delays or issues promptly.
  • Ensure orders align with inventory availability and company lead times.
  • Communicate logistics updates effectively to internal teams and customers.
  • Manage returns and redeliveries, coordinating with the warehouse to ensure efficient processing.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, orders, and freight costs for end-of-year freight analysis.

Administrative Support:

  • Prepare and update shipping documentation, including bills of lading and packing lists.
  • Assist in inventory tracking to ensure product availability for orders.
  • Analyze and report on logistics performance metrics.


Qualifications/Competencies/Position Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 2 years of experience in logistics, customer service, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ERP systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in the food service or manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • Familiarity with 3PL operations and shipping processes.

Education and Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or a related field is preferred (or equivalent experience).

Working Hours:

  • Business Hours but some travel, nights and weekends may be possible.

Tools and Equipment Used:

  • Computer, copier, fax, phone, and other standard office equipment
