About The Role
The Engagement Director’s role is to strategically and tactically manage the business engagement process and develop an engagement approach that strikes the right balance between organizational growth and corporate clients’ requirements. The role will oversee the day-to-day relationships with clients served, providing thoughtful and pragmatic leadership with an innovative perspective and focuses on creating high-value engagements, primarily with High Tech companies.
The incumbent will work collaboratively across the Account Management, Business Development, Products & Solutions, and Delivery teams to develop and lead the business development efforts for the regional Practice. Also, ensure the success and satisfaction of client relationships, involving in all aspects of solutions life cycle.
As a result, the role is expected to actively acquire client engagements for the Practice and identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities across the entire suite of International SOS Consulting products and solutions.
As such the role will be incentivised on the overall growth performance for the Practice as well as carry an ambitious individual new business/engagements target
Geographical Scope: Central & Gulf States Region
Vertical Scope: Oil and Gas, Offshore and Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC)
This is a full-time Monday to Friday 8:00 am until 5:00 pm role based out of our Houston office. Thursdays/Fridays are remote/work from home days. There is a travel requirement of up to 30% of the time.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Management
- Execute the overall management responsibility around the business engagement process and develop the engagement approach for all regional clients of the Consulting business.
- Provide advice and guidance on how to improve customer engagement and develop lasting relationships.
- Work closely with the project team and ensure consistent and good working relationships exist.
- Work closely with the business to ensure alignment of the Consulting regional practice regarding existing and planned commitments.
- Ensure tight control of capability pipeline and proper resource management with strong communication across the team.
- Ensure development of program management capability and skills across the team.
- Work closely with Sales and Account Managers across the relevant regions to identify Consulting opportunities for the Practice
- Work with the Sales and Account management teams to understand the unique requirements for each solution vs. verticals and jointly with account managers develop strategy to further penetrate accounts.
- Successfully identify, develop and close business opportunities and the profitable management of projects and contracts, from inception to completion. With a focus on strategic, larger engagements for key and strategic accounts.
- Seek opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services or support cross-border opportunities that may arise as a result of the engagements
- Support regional Sales to review and analyze RFPs, RFIs, RFQs to understand services requirements
- Organize weekly and monthly internal meetings with key Sales and service delivery stakeholders to review pipeline and on-going engagements.
- Lead the discovery process, conducting business evaluation and gap analysis vs existing/prior solutions to understand feasibility and relevancy of the possible solutions to clients.
- Attend meetings with Prospects and Clients to determine technical and business requirements and ensuring that all necessary information is collated prior to defining a solution
- Support Sales and Health Consultant or Medical Director to structure scope of services in line with Group solutions and client priorities
- Help write proposals for complex solutions using standard Health Consulting templates / guidelines or developing bespoke content for client proposals.
- In liaison with Major Projects team, help to define effort and cost estimates for each solution and author SOWs, help in pricing services for client projects.
- Meet proposal deadline by establishing priorities and manage tenders
- Provide implementation methodology and process related information to prospects during the sales process (after validation with respective Group capabilities)
- Refine templates used for creating proposals based on industry best practices
- For complex solutions, work closely with Group capabilities and act as lead to get their input re. delivery process, resourcing and turnaround that will be required to develop integrated delivery
- Provide Consulting & Solutions team with market information and service trends
- Evaluate and execute client engagement business analysis by working closely with clients in identifying, understanding, and meeting their specific needs.
- Identify and assist with the development of new product concepts that a client centric.
- Work collaboratively across the Sales, Product & Solutions, and Delivery teams to develop and guide the business development strategy of the Consulting business.
- Support the overall client experience with the Central Gulf business and the products and services it provides.
- As required, assist the programmeprogram management team in implementing services, plan projects effectively and access Central Gulf Consulting services.
- Assist with resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely manner.
- Develop the engagement approach, and support with the technical and operational strategy including to met client contract milestones.
- Ensure that contract terms and conditions are met and manage the contractual aspects of the services provided by the Central Gulf Europe Consulting business.
- Scheduling and preparing quarterly reviews to set objectives and identify shortfalls in customer engagement.

- 10 years of working experience of which 3 years working in a similar capacity within sales, customer service, project management, and/or consulting;
- Proven project management and customer service experience;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and customer relationship management (CRM) software;
- Experience within the service industry (preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in related field;
- Project management certification desired (e.g. CSM, APM, PMBOK etc.).
- English (fluent, business, both oral and written);
- Additional language relevant to location (advantageous).
