JOB TITLE: Grant Management Assistant
DEPARTMENT: Grants/Finance
SUPERVISOR: Government Grants Manager
WORKING HOURS: Full time - 40 hours per week
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Secondary education in business administration or finance is preferred.
Experience: Proficiency in excel and word is preferred.
Knowledge of QuickBooks, and/non-profit experience is a plus.
Able to work effectively and independently.
Additional Requirements:
- Conduct self professionally and abide by the guidelines listed in the Policy & Procedure section of the IIB Employee Handbook & Federal Award Policy and Accounting Manual.
- Maintain confidential grant files including personnel information.
- Interface with Government Grants Manager and Department Directors to provide continuous accurate grant spend downs.
- Assist with preparing detail and accurate finance reports on a timely basis for over 30 wide agency funding sources.
- Other duties as assigned by Government Grants Manager, Director of Grants/Executive Director
JOB SUMMARY:
The mission of the International Institute of Buffalo is to make Western New York a better place for, and because of, immigrants and refugees. IIB’s Grant Administration department is looking for a Grant Management Assistant who will assist with compiling grant documentation and reporting for over 30 agency-wide funding sources. Also, to assist with special projects as requested.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Compile supporting documentation for grant payrolls.
- Compile supporting documentation for grant reporting.
- Assist in preparing spending reports using excel.
- Assist with maintaining organized grant records.
- Oversee management of records and record retention.
