About This Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Instructional Aide SPED to join our team at International Leadership of Texas. As an Instructional Aide SPED, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal needs of students with disabilities.
The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for assisting teachers with lesson planning, preparing instructional materials, and maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist with lesson planning and preparation of instructional materials.
- Support the physical and instructional needs of students with disabilities.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote student engagement and participation.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents regarding student progress and needs.
Requirements:
- 48 Earned College Credits, Associates degree preferred OR High School Diploma if formal academic assessment is passed as required by Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)
- Two years of experience working with children
- Ability to work with children with disabilities
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively
