Special Education Assistant Instructor

About This Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Instructional Aide SPED to join our team at International Leadership of Texas. As an Instructional Aide SPED, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal needs of students with disabilities.

The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for assisting teachers with lesson planning, preparing instructional materials, and maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Main Responsibilities:

• Assist with lesson planning and preparation of instructional materials.
• Support the physical and instructional needs of students with disabilities.
• Develop and implement strategies to promote student engagement and participation.
• Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents regarding student progress and needs.

Requirements:

• 48 Earned College Credits, Associates degree preferred OR High School Diploma if formal academic assessment is passed as required by Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)
• Two years of experience working with children
• Ability to work with children with disabilities
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to communicate effectively
