What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seafood Processor / Fish Cutter position at International Marine Products?
International Marine Products is currently hiring an experienced Seafood Processor in Los Angeles. The candidate must be familiar with fillet techniques for various species of seafood, able to prepare fish according to customers’ specifications e.g. scaling, skin off, pin bones out, etc. Cleans and sanitizes equipment and work areas. This is the early shift, start time between 12am to 2am, Monday to Saturday.
Key Duties:
- Removing scales from fish
- Trimming, filleting, and cleaning seafood product in cooler
- Weighing, wrapping and packing products in cooler
- All processing general duties: clean up workstation, moving products
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands:
- Ability to frequently stand and walk for an eight hour shift
- Ability to work in low temperature warehouse the entire shift
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Good hand-eye coordination
Requirements:
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Basic math skills are essential
- Able to work independently as well as in a team
Preferred Education:
- High school or equivalent
