Quality Assurance (QA) Production Manufacturing Inspector

FT position with 40 hours a week. Shift differential available to employees working an afternoon or overnight shift.

MUST BE OPEN TO A FLEXIBLE WORK SCHEDULE. EMPLOYEES MAY BE SCHEDULED TO WORK IN MORNINGS, AFTERNOONS, OR OVERNIGHTS. SCHEDULES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE

Summary: Performs inspection activities for the In-Process Quality Assurance Department. Using various inspection techniques and methodologies will inspect for visual, dimensional and some physical test attributes. Work may be performed in various environments clean room areas, production, receiving, and retain storage areas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs inspection activities in various pharmaceutical departments. Ability to use basic inspection tools such as: micrometers, calipers, scales, candling workstations, pH meter, and conductivity meter.

• Perform inspections of material to assure conformance to product specifications.
• Maintain adequate records of inspections and testing.
• Initiate non-conforming material reports upon detection of non-conforming material under instruction.
• Interface with various departments on related quality issues under instruction.
• Verification of manufacturing and logbook review.
• Monitor and maintain record for warehouse temperature monitoring.

Ability to handle small and fragile parts during the inspection process while minimizing damage. Capable of discerning minimal variation in solutions for particles and color variation.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School Graduate or GED required or may substitute 3 years of experience for education requirements.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, write and speak English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Basic math required (addition, subtraction, multiplication and divisions).

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to assess procedures and specifications against data being gathered on the job for compliance to requirements.
