Position Overview
The Product Integrity Group is seeking an Engineer join their team!
Responsibilities
• Investigates and reports on accidents, fires and reports of non-performance of products.• Works with legal counsel and outside experts to prepare technical defenses in warranty and product liability lawsuits and claims.• Provides deposition and trial testimony as appropriate.• Provides accurate and thorough technical analysis of causes of accidents, fires and non-performance disputes.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 5 years of experience investigating and resolving technical product issues in the field
OR
- Master’s degree
- At least 3 years of experience investigating and resolving technical product issues in the field
OR
- At least 7 years of experience investigating and resolving technical product issues in the field
Additional Requirements
- Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. International Motors does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
Desired Skills
• Must be willing to obtain a certification in fire investigation.• Positive attitude and strong work ethic• Excellent project management, organizational, communication and presentation skills • Comport oneself in a calm and pleasant manner in potential legally adversarial investigative situations• Previous experience investigating and resolving customer complaints/product liability claims• Working knowledge of heavy vehicle design, manufacture and usage• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and materials engineering concepts• Familiarity with civil procedure, litigation, and testimony is desirable
