Consider the International Peace Garden this year! The IPG is a 2,300 acre public garden situated on the border of Manitoba and North Dakota. We offer a wide range of experience in the fields of horticulture, professional grounds maintenance and customer service within the tourism sector. If you like working outdoors in a beautiful and natural setting, then this is the place for you!
We are looking for volunteers and paid employees to assist with this year's planting push! Planting experience is preferred. June is the key month where we will receive most of our annuals full and ready to sink their roots into more than 50 flower beds along the Formal Channel and International Border. We hope you will join us as we celebrate 94 years by planting awe-inspiring floral designs themed around music and the arts! The following opportunities are available in 2025:
MAY - SEPTEMBER: Horticulture Staff
Gain experience in planting and maintaining annual and perennial beds, weed identification and control, ornamental plant identification, pruning and care of shrubs/small trees in a formal, public garden setting. This position will provide maximum exposure to all facets of horticulture at the IPG from start to finish.
- Maximum duration: May to September (start date weather-dependent)
- 4-5 days per week, weather permitting. Some weekends as needed.
OR if you are looking for something short term:
JUNE: Annual Flower Planters
Involves planting up to 100,000 annual flowers into flower beds. Learn about flower bed design, design layout, planting methods and bed preparation.
- Duration: Month of June only (4 weeks)
- 5 days per week, weather permitting. Some weekends as needed.

Pay: $12.25 - $13.50 per hour
