What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pediatrics Medical Billing Specialist Bilingual (spanish) position at International Pediatrics?
Busy pediatric practice is looking for a Bilingual Medical Billing Specialist. Our pediatricians and highly trained staff have been providing high-quality medical care to children in the Maryland area for more than 30 years. The ideal candidate should be reliable, punctual, friendly, organized, have excellent people skills, be able to multi-task and work independently.
Responsibilities: Denial management
- Review and submit medical claims through the EMR system ensuring accuracy, clean claim submission, and timely filing
- Investigates rejected claims to see why denials were issued and correct claims
- Tracks payments
- Follow up with patients and insurance companies about outstanding bills
- Collect, post and manage patient account payments
- Examines documents for missing information; corrects information as needed
- Approve and post all A/R adjustments
- Generate and follow up insurance and self-pay A/R reports monthly.
- Update billing forms on a yearly basis to include revisions, deletions and additions to CPT-4 and ICD-9/10 coding
- Develop, review and monitors policies on insurance, revenue, receipts, fee schedule, and coding updates
- Works towards compliance in all aspects of coding, participates in compliance activities as requested, and conducts/participates in provider coding reviews and education, as requested
- Answers questions, advises, and trains providers and staff on medical coding
- Maintain current knowledge regarding coding and diagnostic procedures
- Supports additional coding, billing, and practice management projects as needed
Hours are Monday to Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.
Salary: depending on experience
Requirements:
· ICD-10: 3 years (Required)
· Medical Billing: 5 years (Required)
· Medical Billing and Coding: 5 years
· Pediatric Billing a Plus
· Excellent verbal/written communication skills
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Must have a verifiable track record
Covid Information
To keep patients and staff safe, all employees must have proof of Covid-19 vaccination. Patients’ check-in via QR code to minimize waiting room traffic. Covid swabs done in parking lot, if patient not being seen in the office for a sick visit
