As the International School of Texas (IST) continues to grow, we announce our search for a full-time Secondary Science Teacher to begin duties in August 2025. This position's primary responsibility will be to teach Science to International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Program (MYP) and Diploma Program (DP) students.

IST students become lifelong learners as they progress through the MYP / DP, learning in a collaborative and inquiry-based environment. The primary responsibility of this position is to teach Science to middle school and high school students, ensure student engagement and maintain curriculum alignment across grades 6-12. Preference will be given to teachers with experience teaching in an International Baccalaureate School.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS :
The Science Teacher must have experience teaching in the middle and / or high school years. The successful candidate should have a strong belief in progressive education and have experience integrating curriculum with authentic, inquiry-based or project-based learning. This position requires an openness to new technology platforms and their integration into all aspects of the classroom.
In addition to teaching responsibilities, IST faculty have the opportunity to lead in a variety of extracurricular and club activities that enrich the IST experience.
