Staff Accountant
Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid)
Our client, a wealth management firm, seeks a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their team. In this role, you’ll handle accounting for high-net-worth clients, including reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, managing cash flow, and assisting with tax and payroll processing. This is a hybrid position (3 days in office) offering a dynamic, fast-paced work environment with opportunities for meaningful impact and professional growth.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain client accounts and financial records, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare financial reports, account statements, invoices, and vouchers.
- Reconcile general ledgers, bank statements, and investment accounts.
- Monitor and manage client cash balances for accounts payable needs.
- Support tax reporting, including preparing 1099s, W-2s, and other documents.
- Assist with payroll processing, bill payments, and client approvals.
- Prepare monthly cash flow reports and assist with special projects (e.g., audits).
- Identify process improvements and ensure compliance with deadlines.
- Maintain and update organized client files and records.
Requirements:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree (required) in accounting (preferred) and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Accounting Knowledge: Proficiency in GAAP and Tax/Cash basis accounting principles, investment account reconciliation, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Technical Skills: Experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote), and Bill.com (preferred). Payroll processing experience is a plus. Tech savviness would be ideal!
- Skills & Traits: Strong written and verbal communication, detail-oriented, self-motivated, able to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Additional Expertise: Preparing financial reports, client tax documents (e.g., 1099s, W-2s), and handling client cash flow and account monitoring.
Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
