Overview
The Business Process Analyst will be responsible for Nexion Canada accounting operations including but not limited to, client/vendor balance reconciliation, reconcile and review group bookings, perform back-office reconciliation merchant activities and reconcile corporate credit card transactions. This position requires great understanding of the travel industry, commission management and interfacing on Trams. This position supports Travel Agents and must develop and maintain productive relationships.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Reconcile Group Bookings – work with agents on resolving issues and balance reconciliation as needed. • Groups should be reconciled no later than 2 commission cycles upon receiving agent summary.• Perform back-office reconciliation processes related to merchant activities, wires, EFTs, and CC fees.• Reconcile monthly Travel Pcard on Trams.• Maintain Client & Vendor Balances – and work with agents on resolving outstanding balances/errors. • Send client/vendor balances to agents as requested.• Assist with review and reconcile of weekly BSP transactions – follow up and resolve any debit memos that arises with agents/internal staff.• Research and resolve customer issues & unmatched commissions or commission reassignments. • Other special projects and ad hoc support as required.
Qualifications
Education, Knowledge and Skills:
• Bachelors degree in Accounting preferred• Accounting experience preferred• Travel Industry experience preferred• Commission payments/receipts and reconciliation of Travel Bookings experience preferred• Trams, travel back office management experience highly preferred • Must be a self-motivated team player, organized, and detail oriented • Ability to effectively multi-task, prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines• Ability to adapt to new assignments in a fast paced environment• Ability to problem solve and work independently• Ability to perform tasks with minimum supervision• Ability to communicate with customers and vendors, both in writing and verbally, in a clear, professional manner• Must be proficient in MS Office with an emphasis on MS Excel
