PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Research and review price movements and variances across various investments
- Communicate with external pricing vendors to challenge prices and share relevant market information
- Review/audit valuation model inputs and assumptions for private assets
- Communicate with valuation specialists, provide feedback and commentary on their reports
- Compile data from various sources and prepare summarized calculations
- Prepare quarterly Valuation Committee materials
- Reconcile data across systems and reports
- Identify process breakdowns, analyze the root cause, and build controls to ensure accuracy
- Prepare workpapers in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404
- Perform frequent ad hoc analysis and assist with special projects, as requested
REQUIREMENTS
Candidate qualifications are
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
- Detail oriented with a continuous improvement mindset and eagerness to learn
- Strong analytical skills and interpersonal skills
- Strong documentation skills
- Ability to communicate issues in verbal and written form, and work on resolution with the supervision of other team members
- Excellent computer skills, including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of market data services like Bloomberg and other financial tools preferred
- Interest in pursuing CFA designation preferred
