Our Orlando office is seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our team in an administrative compliance role. This role will play a vital part in ensuring regulatory compliance and delivering exceptional service to support our internal client satisfaction strategy. Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day human resource operations, including responding to employee inquiries and maintaining department and employee documents.
- Maintain and update employee records in HRIS systems and internal databases, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support employee benefits administration, including responding to initial benefits-related inquiries and coordinating open enrollment processes.
- Coordinate and facilitate employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a seamless new hire experience.
- Conduct regular audits of employee records, such as workman's compensation files, EEOC data, Census Reports, and 401k compliance, and assist in preparing documentation for external audits.
- Track and reconcile human resource-related expenses, including recruitment, training, and event costs, and ensure proper record-keeping for audits.
- Assist with ensuring compliance by regularly reviewing company policies, procedures, and practices to meet federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Provide administrative support for employee engagement initiatives and company events, including scheduling, communication, and logistics.
- Maintain and prepare compliance reports to support HR initiatives and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other administrative tasks and special projects as assigned by the HR Manager or team.
- 1-2 years of administrative or HR experience is a plus, not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Google Docs/Sheets.
- Commitment to upholding privacy standards and safeguarding employee data.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including phone etiquette.
